It all started when Dave graduated from MSU Bozeman in 1984 with a BS in Film & Television, and a Minor in Computer Science. After that monumentus occasion, he started work at North Country MG as a television junior editor. NCMG was producing 200 to 500 commercials in the direct response to daily business and Dave was instrumental in most of it. Dave produced, shot, and edited commercials for campaigns such as Playboy, Timelife, and Guidlines magazine. He even created software to handle a large video libray and to automate processes to improve speed in production.
In 1995 an oppurtunity presented itself that Dave couldn't pass up. He joined the staff of Stray Moose Productions as head editor. Using a staff 1/4 the size of NCMG we are producing 100 to 200 commercials daily using new software Dave developed. Stray Moose works for clients such as TimeLife, Thane Direct, MMSI and produces commercials for Alabama Tourism, Direct TV, and of course Contour Adjustable beds. Now you ask yourself where did this software come from? Well, somewhere in this busy schedule Dave found time to pursue his minor in computers turn it into more. He graduated from the University of Great Falls in 2003 with a BS in Computer Science which to this day allows him to be even more productive and effecient at what he does.
After doing projects such as relatives and friends weddings for 15 years, Dave realized "there might be something to this gig" and Digital Duck was hatched. It was opened in 2001 by Dave to handle local projects and provide quality service to the Great Falls area. Among the services offered are Weddings, Memorial videos, birthday videos, photo to video, film transfers, corporate videos, and event videography such as parades and football games. He is also quite the magician when it comes to fixing a broke case on a VHS. So with Dave, you never know what kind of magic he can work for you.
